[Records of the Office of Special Field Services], 1964-1980 1977-1980.

Record group 82-69 consists of three sets of records of the Office of Special Field Services of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. The first set of records are the Work Opportunity Resources Corps files (1977-80), which contains correspondence, reports, audit material, Senate bills and proposals, and project statistics. The program's purpose was to train 15-21 year olds in work skills, and to accomplish conservation work. The second group of records are of the Neighborhood Youth Corps (1964-69), containing similar material as the first group of records and having the same goal and objectives of the Work Opportunity Resources Corps. The final set of records are of the Manpower Project (1977-78). This project was administered out of the Manpower Office. It was an employment program active (and inactive) between 1970 and 1978. The records are for three regions and include Senate Bill 539 and a report to Governor Milliken (1970).
